The identity of this chant (between Lauds and Prime) is unclear. There is no rubric, and the chant text is usually a Matins Responsory. "Super populum" is also an oration in Lenten masses and has been identified in CH-E 121, f.415, as an antiphon for a "Missa pro quacumque necessitate".
