Rubric: De un The second word of the rubric is incomplete. It might have been erased, but I cannot tell from the image. It would have read: De una virgine. I suspect that this common would have done double duty for both one and several virgins. Some antiphons for Lauds refer to several virgins, such as "Tunc surrexerunt omnes virgines" and "Prudentes virgines". Other Belgian antiphoners, such as Tsgrooten and B-TO olv 63 and 64, have commons for only one virgin. So their commons also could have served both one and several virgins. The reason for the erasure in the rubric may have been to make it more inclusive, for one and several virgins.
