From the Ransom Center: "Written in Latin, Gothic rotunda script. Layout is 30 lines ruled in red ink and lead point; 4-line red staves with square musical notation. Binding: Bound in full brown tanned diced calfskin over wood boards with four metal cornerpieces and five six-pointed star-shaped metal bosses; deteriorating spine reveals sewing and channels in boards. Provenance: W. H. R. Blacking, bookplate; acquired by the Ransom Center in 1963 with the "Illuminated Manuscripts Collection" from New York bookseller, Lew David Feldman (House of El Dieff)."
