Summary: 
Fragmented Antiphonal used in the Church of San Francisco de Quito, Ecuador. Copied and dated by Friar Francisco de Herrera in 1671. It includes some feasts of Holy Virgin Mary. Vellum; good condition with humidity and some amended and mutilated folios; 68x46cm with five-line staff in black ink alternating music and text; 109 folios (ff. 17r–17v are missing); no index; incomplete Arabic foliation in red ink. Rotunda Gothic script and square notation with F and C clefs; ff. 2r–2v, ff. 32r–32v and ff. 108r–109v are amended with the evidence of a different copyist’s hand; modes, custos and bars are indicated. Phytomorphic initials in red, blue, black, green, gold, pink, purple and yellow ink with filigree designs on same/alternate colors; cadels in black ink; red ink for small capital letters and rubrics; boards with brained linen.
