Summary:
Single page of a gradual.
Description:

Single page of a gradual; foliated "l" in upper right. Chant for votive masses "pro vitanda mortalitate " (probably the "Recordare domine" mass purportedly compiled during the Black Death.)
No provenance information was given. The text (southern textualis praescissus) and music notation (five-line staff) suggest a Spanish origin, but do not prove it. Cedillas on e; spaced- out syllables (sum-u-s.)
Folio is approximately 540 x 375 mm [writing area 467 x 267mm]. The writing area is marked by a two line border, probably in drypoint; the name of the mass is given in red on the upper border, and the clefs and custodes are written within the vertical border.
